Golf: Memphis Intercollegiate Day 2 Ragin’ Cajuns Golf Concludes Memphis IntercollegiateKyle Pritchard carded the low round of the day for the Cajuns. MEMPHIS, Tenn.-Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns men’s golf team concluded the final round of the Memphis Intercollegiate with a 14th place finish. The Ragin’ Cajuns carded a final round score of 303 as a team to drop to 14th place. The Cajuns started the day in a tie for 13th place but were unable to manage a comeback in the final day. Kyle Pritchard carded the low round of the day for the Ragin’ Cajuns. Pritchard shot a one-over par, 73, to pace the Cajuns on the final day of competition. Junior Michael Smith was the top finisher for UL. Smith carded a final round 75, his second of the tournament, to finish in a tie for 27th. Finishing two strokes behind Smith was Morgan Landry. The junior from Lafayete struggled during the final round, carding his highest score of the tournament. Landry’s 77 dropped him to a tie for 34th. Pritchard’s low round vaulted him up the Cajuns’ standings. After finishing the first day in fifth place amongst the Ragin’ Cajuns, Pritchard’s one-over par moved him into third place among the UL golfers. Rounding out the scoring for the Ragin’ Cajuns were Devin Carrey and Mark Brockhurst. Carrey finished the day at six-over par, while Brockhurst carded his worst round of the tournament at nine-over par. The Ragin’ Cajuns golf team will return to action on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 16-17, as UL competes in the Louisiana Tech/Squire Creek Intercollegiate. The tournament hosted by Louisiana Tech will be held at the Squire Creek Country Club in Ruston. Final Results T-27. Michael Smith................ 75-71-75--221 T-34.
